Patagoniano El Chalten and Mount Fitz Roy (from December 23 to 29)

is in El Chalten, a small town "pioneer" growing at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy that we spend this Christmas a little special. Arriving in El Chalten wins, the road is long and often not asphalted but what joy to discover this landscape with the backdrop of the Fitz Roy. Especially since we were treated to glorious sunshine and clear skies in coming ... this is not always the case here! The weather is very changeable in Patagonia, we pass the sun, wind storms in no time: Jean-Claude Thomas and can confirm that the Mistral is next to nothing.

For the occasion we rented a small 'cabanas "small house very comfortable and rediscover a life somewhat" settled "but nice (Antoine has a right to a really big bathtub, happiness!).

Many hiking trails start from the city and allow you to discover the Mount Fitz Roy closer. The week will be punctuated by many steps for the whole family.

Here, we do not feel the Christmas spirit as we know it here. No decorations, no lights in the streets, the days are long (the sun sets around 22:30), it is "hot" (well that day, so ...) ... but it does not stop us from celebrating Christmas as it should be: very good foie gras (Thanks to Magali), huge parilla, cheese (French!) and log at the Dulce de Leche (milk jam, Argentine specialty, delicious). And Santa Claus has found our trace: Antoine discovers with surprise (and happiness) all his gifts!
